E is for Exciting

This is my report on my experience with my first (and second) biofeedback session.  I was scheduled for 1:45 yesterday afternoon but my day was a difficult one of feeling terrible and then having to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there.  I'm not sure exactly how I even got there; all I know is that I felt compelled to go.  I am so glad I did.

From what I understand of biofeedback (I'm going to learn more), some kind of energy is bounced off of your body which then registers in the machine.  I'm totally on board with new and different methods of healing so I had no fear of that.

The information I was given was not one of a huge surprise, but it was eye-opening.  Let's just say that my huge desire for sugar has evaporated (since sugar is no longer my friend) with my body being in the red with sugar, which puts me at high risk for diabetes, heart disease and cancer.  That was certainly eye-opening.  I now have something to help me detox the sugar and yeast from my body.

The amazing part of this process for me is that I was able to see emotional issues and deal with them.  I am a firm believer that we hold all of our emotions in our body (as well as in our subconscious) and physical symptoms will show up as a result from holding those traumas and emotions.  The biofeedback technician (not sure if that's the right title?) helped me with some of the issues and using EFT (emotional freedom technique), was able to help me move forward which enabled the machine to work more quickly on those physical issues relating from the emotional ones.

I don't know if any of this makes sense to anyone but me, but I'm just so glad that I went and even more glad that the technician asked me if I'd like to have another appointment this morning before I had to go home.  Today I felt amazing and the session was so much more amazing.  (too bad this isn't an a day for amazing!)

If you're at all curious about biofeedback and have a physical or emotional pain, I'd highly recommend it.

These are some of the photos I took while on the way home; the wheat is green now and makes for beautiful scenery:

  1. Not sure why biofeedback is exciting. Maybe because it's a new experience which offers you hope. Fingers crossed. I think your positive attitude will take you to the right place.

  3. Francene, I think you're right about my E word. It had been a long day and after traveling for 2 1/2 hrs to get home I was just kind of tired and didn't take the time I should have to find the right word. Maybe I picked exciting because I felt something like excitement? I am considering training in biofeedback and that prospect, alone, is a little exciting to me. I've been searching for a profession to help people and one that can be flexible for me. 9 to 5 jobs don't work for me. Thanks for your input; I appreciate it.
